Of course, the GOP has made so many gains in the South because it appealed to people hacked off that southern Democrats were no longer supported racist policies. It’s the “Nixon Plan” to court segregationists and racists to break the Democrats’ “Solid South” hold. “Vote Republican and we’ll keep things the way they used to wuz!”
