Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice
Two weeks ago, Colin Powell was just another "Uncle Tom" black Republican to the left. Now that he's leaving the State Department, he's the next best thing to sliced whitebread. His replacement is another one of those black Republicans that the left calls a turncoat, the brilliant Condoleeza Rice. Bush is choosing from the absolute best people available for the jobs that need filling, and that means considering blacks and hispanics for the job. Given the same opportunity, Democrats have historically chosen the best white man for the job.
Sooner or later, the minority community has to wake up to the fact that Republicans don't hate them and want to keep them down. Republicans appear to want to reward minorities according to their abilities, treating them like human beings. Democrats are the ones that scream bloody murder when Republicans propose treating black people like they treat white people. Who's trying to hold whom down?
It's time we quit allowing the Democrats to hold minorities captive on their plantation, with special rewards for their house slaves like Jesse Jackson and Sheila Jackson Lee. Why do they give Powell and Rice a rhetorical lynching for being Republicans? It's because lynching is what they do to a slave who runs.
